In 1755, Edme François Julien Botot, creates the Eau de Botot for Louis XV. This preparation with natural essences offers the King a breath that lives up to his reputation as a seducer.


Just before the revolution, Louis XVI gave his royal consent to Botot's water.  A few months later, Marie-Antoinette, a prisoner at the Temple, asked her jailer to bring her a vial.


The years pass and the Eau de Botot remains, made famous by its years of royal glory!In 1846, Eau de Botot is mentioned by Balzac in "Les Comédiens without knowing it". 


The cinema then seizes this famous Eau de Mouth. 


In 1937, she appears in "The great illusion" of Jean Renoir. And more than half a century later, she proudly sits in the bathroom of Amélie Poulain!
